About Sam

Sam set up Vanity Valeting is 2001 for himself and once established SWJ Cars & Autocare was set up in 2006 .  The business idea came from a Business Studies class at a local School, Woodhouse Grove. 

The business started out offering a Mobile Valeting Service to cover the Leeds area, since then many changes have taken place, in 2007 Sam was introduced to SSR Europe, SSR stands for Sprayless Scratch Repair. This method of SMART repair covers those minor everyday scuffs and scrapes picked up during everyday driving. 

In January 2008 Sam moved into premises in Guiseley on the old ‘Wendy Wool’ factory site (behind Chequered Flag go-karting) and stopped offering a Mobile Service, (*local collection and drop off is still available) this proved to be a wise choice over time, meaning that he could carry on working even in adverse weather and add more services to his portfolio.

In June 2008 Sam had Paintless Dent Removal training by a leading SMART repair training centre. In 2009 a new supplier of high quality cleaning products started to supply SWJ Autocare with new ideas, techniques and products. In late 2009 SWJ Autocare became an Authorised DiamondBrite Paint Protection supplier and Applicator.  This is the same product and service you receive when you purchase a car from a Main Dealer, but at a fraction of the price.

In 2012 Sam was introduced to Maxolen products, which included the introduction of Rupes Polishing Machines. 2013 saw another company start dealing with Sam, Astral. A strong working relationship was formed and even saw Sam win an Astral online competition. In 2014 a Steam Cleaner was added to the equipment line up allowing engine cleaning and general grease removal to step up to the next level. In October 2015 two more courses were completed by Sam, a Interior Repair Course and Smart Repair Paint course. Both courses were completed at the same local training center.

In August 2019 SWJ Autocare moved to new premises on Station Road Guiseley and SWJ Cars and Autocare was born. Car sales have always been a passion of Sams and these new prominent roadside premises open up a new era for the business. One thing that will continue is the need for quality and striving to offer a personal service with attention to the detail.

March 2020 has brought a New Accreditation for Sam. He is now an Approved Supplier and Applier of the Full Matrix Ceramic Coating Range. Matrix is part of the AutoSmart brand which is UK and Ireland's largest manufacturer and distributor of professional vehicle and food processing cleaning products for trade customers.

March 2024 has seen another new accreditation, this time with Ultimaxx Ceramic Coatings. These products have highly imopressed Sam and has already applied there products to numerous customers vehicles with fantastic results and feedback.

Sam likes to keep moving with the times, constantly monitoring new products and techniques.
